Wildstone

Wildstone

Wildstone is an outdoor media infrastructure company and one of the largest owners of out-of-home advertising sites in the world. Founded in 2010 and based in Bath, the company aggregates and manages the physical infrastructure on which billboards and digital screens are displayed, providing media owners and operators with long term access to high quality advertising locations. Rather than selling advertising campaigns directly to brands, Wildstone acquires and leases property, land and building facades in high traffic locations, helping site owners generate income while supplying operators with flexible, well positioned media assets.

Its portfolio spans several thousand panels across the United Kingdom, with a growing presence in continental Europe and Australia. Wildstone has been a driving force behind the industry's shift from paper posters to digital displays, and it owns a substantial share of the large format digital sites in Britain, converting classic billboards to digital screens on an ongoing basis. The company works closely with landlords, local authorities and the major media owners, handling planning, development and the technical upgrading of sites.

In 2022 the infrastructure investor Antin Infrastructure Partners agreed to acquire Wildstone, reflecting the growing view of premium outdoor advertising locations as long term infrastructure assets. Through its focus on owning and digitising the underlying real estate of out-of-home advertising, Wildstone occupies a distinctive position in the market, underpinning the visible advertising networks operated by many of the sector's best known brands across multiple countries.
