Stein Sign Display
Stein Sign Display is a full-service sign and outdoor advertising company founded in 1952 and headquartered in Watertown, South Dakota, with a second location in Sioux Falls opened in 2025. A third-generation, family-owned business, it was named the 2024 South Dakota SBA Family Business of the Year.
The company both manufactures signage and owns and operates a billboard advertising network. On the fabrication side it designs, produces, installs and maintains pylon signs, channel letters, monument signs, wall and interior signs, ADA signage, electronic message centers and custom graphics, and it retrofits older neon signs with energy-efficient LEDs.
On the media side, Stein operates a portfolio the company describes as more than 260 static billboard faces across South Dakota plus a growing number of digital billboards (14 and counting) in high-traffic areas, with locations in markets such as Aberdeen, Madison, Mitchell, Vermillion, Yankton, Watertown and along Interstate 29. The business emphasizes handling projects end-to-end and in-house, from design and permitting to professional installation and long-term maintenance, serving businesses and organizations across eastern South Dakota and surrounding areas.
